Heather and Derek's day was all about simplicity. They love their family, they love their friends and most of all they love each other. Their day was wrapped around the simple beauty of this love. From the simply elegant and chic (and amazing) crocheted lace wedding dress that Heather wore, to the waterside campfire ceremony location, to the spread of homemade pies in lieu of wedding cake, this wedding was a sure reflection of the couple's love of the outdoors, fun, hometown, and each other. Camp Hough was the perfect setting for this couple's day. These pearls have been in the family for generations. Sisters.... Beyond the beautiful flowers (by Bush Hill Florist) this photo highlights the beautiful details of her dress. Simply stunning! A little something from his bride. Very cool boutonniere made from pheasant feathers. (Funny story behind this) They had a "First Look" Ceremony, where the bride and groom get to see each other prior to the wedding. This offers a very special personal time for the bride and groom. She was so excited for him to see her. Those clouds were pretty scary.... the potential for rain was very high, but it cleared and made way for some beautiful photo opportunities. Some quiet time alone... or almost alone :) Time to get ready for the wedding ceremony! Her brother married them.... and then surprised them with this little German tradition about the importance of family and friends. Capture the flag to find your seat. Tasty spread of pies made by Sue Kelly! Yummmmm! She sure does :) Thank you Heather and Derek for allowing us the opportunity to be part of your simply wonderful day! It has been fun getting to know you both and we wish you many, many years filled with the love of your friends, family, and of course each other.
