Mike and Lena's wedding day was filled with tenderness, tears, moms, and most of all love. Lena is from the Ukraine and when planning their wedding it was very important for her mother and sister to be here to celebrate with them. It was not an easy feat and they met a few glitches along the way, but ultimately, both her mother and sister were able to make the long trip and attend the wedding. Lena was an exchange student which is how this couple originally met, so she not only had her mother from Ukraine but her host mother also. Mike's mother and Lena's host mother were friends from high school so this union was embraced by all.
Catering: Debbie and Brian Gross

This little flower girl was very camera shy, but isn't she sweet? Two moms and a sister to get the bow just right! Kathy (Mike's mom) is putting her mother's pearls on for the special day. Mike's brother is an amazing pianist. Her mom (from Ukraine) and her host dad. What a beautiful spot for a wedding! This is a rushnyk, a Ukraine tradition. The length of the towel represents the journey of life and the red embroidery represents life, fertility, and health. Her host Grandpa is the one that got the relationship started and had the privilege of marrying them. The three moms. :) Everything was sweet on this day!
Wonderful and delicious cake by Debbie and Brian Gross. This is Cindy, the host mom. I wonder if Lena knew how much her life would change when she signed up for the exchange program? Sisters! Lena almost had to face her big day without her sister, but at the last minute she was able to obtain a visa and make the journey to the US. What a wonderful gift!
Thank you Mike and Lena for allowing us into your very beautiful and sweet day. We have enjoyed capturing your love in pictures as it is so evident between the two of you. We wish you many, many blessings and years and years of happiness.
